For Companies and Organizations

The Nationwide Support Center for Students with Disabilities (NSCSD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to realizing a society where students with disabilities can freely learn “when they want, where they want.” Our staff members are individuals with disabilities who have studied at universities and possess expertise in welfare and education.
Since our founding in 1999, we have worked to address various challenges faced by students with disabilities in higher education. The ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in February 2014 and the enforcement of the Act for Eliminating Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities in April 2016 have made reasonable accommodations mandatory in universities and companies. As a result, students no longer have to give up on attending their desired schools due to their disabilities—they can now pursue their educational goals with greater confidence.
Our center publishes the “University Guide for Students with Disabilities,” provides consultation services, and hosts networking events. Students who receive reasonable accommodations at university often develop strong self-advocacy skills—being able to clearly explain their disabilities, identify what they can do, and articulate the support they need. By supporting self-advocacy, we help nurture individuals who can thrive in society and the workplace. Eliminating discrimination in higher education is a vital step toward solving broader social issues.
We are currently seeking sponsorship from companies and organizations that support our mission. As part of your corporate social responsibility efforts, we invite you to help us build a future where students with disabilities can learn freely and contribute to society.
